Lower Thirds

A lower third is a graphic overlay used to introduce and identify a subject featured in a video. It includes the individual’s name and title in a title-safe area of the screen.


Lower Third - Floating


Floating lower thirds are City National Bank’s preferred lower third option and should be used when proper contrast between the exists text and background.

 

Placement

Lower thirds should always be placed within the Title Safe area on the right or left side of the screen.

Lower Third - Blue Box

When backgrounds are very busy or there’s not enough contrast between text and background, a rectangular box can be used behind the text.

If the text box is animated, it must swipe in to the frame.

 

Placement

The person's name and title should fall within the Title Safe area.
Text box can be placed and animate in from either side of the frame.
